Osborn Umahi, son of the Minister of Works, David Umahi, has joined his father in mobilising support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Photographs from a recent campaign gathering showed Osborn Umahi alongside his father and other participants as political mobilisation activities gather momentum in the South-East.
The development comes as David Umahi intensifies efforts to rally support for Tinubu’s second-term bid, expressing confidence that the President and Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru would secure re-election in 2027.

Speaking in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, on Sunday, the minister predicted that Tinubu and Nwifuru would each secure 95 per cent of the votes in the elections.
“President Bola Tinubu is going to win a second term. Governor Francis Nwifuru is going to win a second term,” Umahi said.
He added, “Anyone who does not want Tinubu and Nwifuru to get their second terms, may he not have a second term in his life.”
The minister also outlined plans for grassroots mobilisation, saying campaigners would engage voters directly, including through visits to their homes to communicate the party’s message.
“They will go to people’s homes early in the morning and share their messages,” he said, adding that the All Progressives Congress (APC) was prepared to intensify its mobilisation activities ahead of the elections.
Osborn’s appearance alongside his father comes amid early preparations for the 2027 polls. However, no details were provided on whether he has been assigned a formal role in the campaign or holds an official position within its structure.
