Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, on Saturday, insisted that no President in the history of Nigeria has supported states like President Bola Tinubu.
Sani made the remark while commending Tinubu for supporting Kaduna State in the area of agriculture.
He spoke during the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential campaign flag-off in the state.
Sani said: "I want to thank you for your support for Kaduna State in the area of agriculture.
"Today, I'm speaking on behalf of all the governors here, particularly those from Northern Nigeria. No leader in the history of Nigeria has supported the sub-nationals in the area of agriculture like you have and that is on record, we are talking about statistics and date."
The governor also disclosed that history will be kind to Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Sani said under Shettima, the North-East has witnessed the construction of about 1,000 kilometers of roads.
He added: "When someone came to us and said we should vote for him because he is a northerner, we asked him can you show us your track record?
"Until this moment, the so-called northern candidate has not shown us his track record, Mr President.
"And I dare say that even Mr. Vice President sitting here I was talking to him at the airport and I told him that history will remember him and be kind to him.
"As the vice president, under you, more than 1,000 kilometers of roads have already been constructed in the northeastern part of Nigeria.
"And again, I asked the northern candidate that can you show us 200 kilometers roads that he himself was able to at least help the people of North-East construct when he was the vice president and till this moment we have not seen one."
