President Bola Tinubu has reinstated M.S. Danjuma as Permanent Secretary, Finance (Special Duties), following his earlier suspension amid investigations into unauthorised offices allegedly operating within the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF).
The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Olumuyiwa Enitan Abel, announced the reinstatement, stating that it took effect on October 22, 2026.
According to the announcement, Tinubu directed Danjuma to resume his duties in accordance with public service regulations and established ethical standards.
The reinstatement comes after the President ordered the suspension of three permanent secretaries following investigations by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) into the discovery of an allegedly unauthorised government office within the OSGF.
The commission reportedly uncovered the National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Special Project Office operating within the office without presidential authorisation.
The office was allegedly promoted by George Buchi Nwabueze, according to the report.

The discovery emerged during investigations into the earlier controversy surrounding the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), as well as concerns about weaknesses in government oversight and administrative controls.
The ICPC’s findings raised questions about how unauthorised entities could operate within government offices without the necessary approvals.
