Sources in Kandahar province say five people have been killed and 15 others injured in a traffic accident in Daman district.
Local sources said on Thursday, October 15, that the accident occurred on Wednesday in the Azam Qala area along the Kabul–Kandahar highway.
According to the sources, the accident happened when a passenger bus, model 805, collided with a cargo truck.
Traffic accidents occur periodically on Afghanistan’s highways, resulting in loss of life and financial damage.
Driver negligence, excessive speed, poor road conditions, and failure to observe traffic regulations are among the factors that can increase the risk of traffic accidents.
