KUALA LUMPUR: Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) has resumed services following last week's cyberattack that disrupted services for depositors.
TH, which suspended services on Thursday to protect depositors' savings and personal information, said it had carried out system recovery work and strengthened its controls.
"TH understands depositors' concerns, particularly those with urgent financial needs, and apologises for the inconvenience caused," it said in a statement.
"Since the incident, TH has worked with experts and cybersecurity authorities to investigate the attack, address threats and restore its systems.
"The attack was a criminal act against TH and the country, aimed at disrupting operations and services," it said.
TH said it had lodged a police report and notified the National Cyber Security Agency and the Personal Data Protection Department.
Its branches in Kedah, Terengganu and Kelantan resumed operations yesterday, while branches in other states reopened as usual today.
Services through TH's strategic banking partners have also resumed.
"For THiJARI, all functions have resumed except password reset, new user registrations and online account openings.
"These three functions require further recovery measures before they can be reactivated. Updates will be provided through TH's official channels," it said.
TH said depositors' savings remain safe, but advised them to report any unusual transactions or activity immediately.
For enquiries, concerns or assistance, depositors can contact the TH Contact Centre at 03-6207 1919.
