Ahead of the team’s Tuesday season opener against the New York Knicks, the Philadelphia 76ers have moved to shore up their center rotation. According to a Saturday morning report by Shams Charania, the Philadelphia 76ers signed Tacko Fall to a two-way contract.
“The Philadelphia 76ers are signing 7-foot-6 center Tacko Fall to a two-way NBA contract, sources tell ESPN. Fall enters his fourth NBA season after the 76ers convert his exhibit 10 deal,” Charania posted to his X account.
The signing comes following an injury to center Ariel Hukporti, who suffered a right Achilles tear in the team’s first preseason matchup against the New York Knicks. Surgery and rehab for the injury will sideline him for the entire season. Fall’s signing also comes as Adem Bona has been nursing a foot injury throughout the preseason.
