Silves will host its traditional All Saints’ Fair (Feira de Todos os Santos) from October 29 to November 1, bringing four days of music, traditional food, fairground rides and family entertainment to Sítio do Encalhe.
Organised by Silves Council, the event is one of the Algarve’s oldest fairs and continues to attract residents and visitors from across the region.
Visitors can enjoy traditional food stalls selling roasted chestnuts, farturas (Portuguese doughnuts), popcorn, candyfloss and other treats, alongside exhibitors offering a variety of products.
Fairground rides and attractions will provide entertainment for younger visitors, while live music will feature throughout the weekend.
The musical programme begins on Friday, October 30, at 9.30pm with Grupo Musical Gerações, followed by Os Cromos da Noite on Saturday at the same time.
On Sunday, November 1, Luís Simenta will perform traditional Alentejo music at 3pm, followed by Chave D’Ouro at 5pm.
Silves Council describes the fair as an important local tradition that brings different generations together, combining entertainment with the preservation of the municipality’s cultural heritage.
