A pair of 2026 playoff teams still looking for their first win of the new campaign face off Sunday as the Knicks host the Magic.
It's a long season, but the reigning champions didn't expect a 0-2 start. The Knicks are coming off narrow losses to the 76ers in the opener and the Celtics on Friday night — not quite what they had in mind to begin their title defense.
Karl-Anthony Towns had 22 points and 10 rebounds in the loss at Boston, with OG Anunoby adding 20 points, 10 boards and eight assists, but 16 turnovers helped derail the Knicks at the Garden.
The Magic played their first two at home, falling to the Hawks on Wednesday and losing 115-93 to the Timberwolves on Friday. Wendell Carter Jr. led the way with 20 points and nine rebounds against Minnesota but it wasn't nearly enough as Orlando got outrebounded 61-43 and made just 8 of 39 attempts from 3-point range.
One of these teams will emerge with its first victory of the season Sunday. Here's when and where to watch.
