Week 6 was a tough one for the Giants.
Despite a double digit lead in the first half, the Giants (3-2-1) surrendered a whopping 34 unanswered points in a 34-27 loss to the New Orleans Saints (2-4) at MetLife Stadium.
With quarterback Jameis Winston benched, the G-Men fought back with recently acquired QB J.J. McCarthy shining during his debut in the fourth quarter, with the former No. 10 overall pick putting up 243 passing yards and a touchdown in only 11 minutes under center.
The biggest question now will be is it McCarthy or Winston under center in Week 7?
Regardless of which QB it is, it'll be a tough task for either signal caller when the Giants head to Houston to face the surging Texans (2-4) this Sunday afternoon.

Here are our staff predictions for Giants vs. Texans in Week 7:
Art Stapleton
The pick: Texans 31, Giants 21
Here's why: The Giants have a decision to make at quarterback and running back, and for different reasons. Will J.J. McCarthy’s impressive performance in relief of Jameis Winston be enough to unseat him as the starter? If the Giants can’t run the football, this entire team’s philosophy in having all three phases work together might be a house of cards. There remains an opportunity in the division, but it's alarming how the bottom has fallen out of run game. Personnel? Execution? Scoreboard? Yes. John Harbaugh and his coaching staff are in for a long week with plenty of fixes and a good start to this season at stake.
Bert Bainbridge
The pick: Texans, 24, Giants 10
Here's why: Regardless of who's under center for the Giants, this is a brutal matchup on the road against one the best defenses and a red-hot Texans offense. Big Blue stays keeps it within reach, but never close enough as Houston takes the one by two touchdowns.
Bob Jordan
The pick: Texans 27, Giants 13
Here's why: The NFC East is there for the taking but the Giants haven't seemed interested and the fact that it took more than five minutes for Big Blue to name J.J. McCarthy this week's starter at quarterback speaks volumes.
Dave Rivera
The pick: Texans 23, Giants 16
Here's why: Inconsistency is causing the Giants to decline a bit lately, and it's bad timing to be making this trip to face a Texans team that is showing signs of improvement.
Chris Iseman
The pick: Texans 31, Giants 17
Here's why: These Giants are hard to predict, but their loss to the Saints showed they could be coming back to reality. With the quarterback situation, they're not a very good team right now.
Mike Dougherty
The pick: Texans 28, Giants 20
Here's why: A feel-good start masked the problems that are now surfacing. It's pretty clear after last week, the Giants are exactly what most believed they would be this season, a work in progress.
Brian Marron
The pick: Texans 34, Giants 17
Here's why: The Texans are surging thanks to C.J. Stroud quietly playing some of the best football of any QB in the NFL. Houston's defense is not as strong as last season, but the Giants have major questions on offense with the starting quarterback and main option at running back still in flux. Expect a comfortable win for the home team.
