Oppo launched its latest flagship, OnePlus 16, in China on October 12, 2026. The phone features a larger battery, a stronger camera setup, and a faster screen built for gaming.
OnePlus 16 Features
The phone runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip. Its BOE X4 screen runs at 165Hz across the system. In supported games, it can go up to 185Hz. However, the performance also depends on the game and its software.
The battery is the biggest upgrade. It has raised its capacity to 9,000mAh from 7,300mAh seen in OnePlus 15. The smartphone also provides quick 100W cable charging and 50W wireless charging. A power chip built by Oppo helps the phone use energy more efficiently.
The main camera is 200MP with a 1/1.4-inch sensor and an f/1.6 lens. Users also get a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The front camera is 50MP and has autofocus. OPPO's Lumo technology handles color reproduction. A panoramic mode takes its cue from Hasselblad's XPan format.

Price and Availability
OnePlus has not shared an official price. An earlier leak pointed to a starting price of CNY 4,999. Prebooking pages also list four versions: 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB.
The mobile brand also said it will stop launching new products in the United States and Europe. Anyone thinking of importing the phone should check network support, software updates, warranty, and extra costs.
On paper, the OnePlus 16 looks like a strong flagship. The battery, screen, and cameras all stand out. Whether it is worth buying will depend on the final price and what reviewers find in testing.
