Kumbakonam Mutual Benefit Fund (KMBF) Nidhi Ltd. has obtained necessary permission to open 49 branches to expand its presence in rural areas.
According to an official release, the Fund has now 156 branches and it would increase to 205 after the addition of new branches. It had proposed to scale up the business to ₹25,000 crore from ₹13,575 crore and the reserve fund had been increased to ₹716 crore in 2026 from ₹294.30 crore in 2021.
