The Hurt Syndicate is widely regarded as a top faction in AEW. However, the star-studded trio of MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin has been hardly featured on television this year. They last appeared at the All In 2026 Buy-In show. Furthermore, a recent update from Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp suggested that the group’s unwillingness to put over talent could be why they’ve been absent from AEW TV.
However, all three of them are top wrestling stars and have always added credibility to the AEW product. So, it is expected that they would be back soon, and here are four bookings for The Hurt Syndicate upon their AEW return:
Add a fourth member

The Hurt Syndicate have always spoken about adding a fourth member to their ranks. They could have planned their strategy of strengthening the faction during their AEW hiatus, which could see a rising star or close ally join them.
Bobby Lashley leaves faction and becomes singles star

A major debate since The Hurt Syndicate debuted in AEW in 2024 has centered on Bobby Lashley. Despite being a former multi-time World Champion, he has been relegated to the tag team division in AEW. Therefore, the trio could return together, but in a shocking turn of events, Lashley could leave the stable and venture out on his own as a singles star.
Go after the Trios titles

With The Hurt Syndicate absent, the AEW trios division has really stirred up with factions like Brodido & Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland & The New Level. Tony Khan could bring them back and put them into the mix, making the storylines for the AEW World Trios Championships more interesting on television.
Regain AEW World Tag Team Championships

The Hurt Syndicate’s dominant run in AEW saw them become the AEW World Tag Team Champions. MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin could begin their resurgence by competing in the highly competitive AEW tag team division against top teams. The former WWE stars could work their way to a title opportunity by defeating those teams in stellar matches and accomplish their mission of winning the titles at a major event.
