Chase Sexton and Monster Energy Kawasaki have agreed to part ways, effective immediately, the team announced on social media.
Sexton struggled in the opening round of the 2026 Monster Energy Supercross season with an eighth-place finish in Anaheim before improving in Round 2 in San Diego to finish fourth. Hopes were high when he won Round 3 as the series returned to Anaheim, but that was short lived. Sexton stood on the podium only one more time before the Supercross finale in Salt Lake City.
Sexton won the Supercross finale, but the struggle began again when the riders hit the outdoor tracks. He was sixth at Fox Raceway in Pala, California, and seventh in the Hangtown Motocross Classic.
Sexton suffered a violent crash the following week in Lakewood, Colorado, and tore his ACL, which ended to his season.
Sexton's contract with Kawasaki was announced as a three-year contract at the beginning of the 2026 season.
