The Green Bay Packers got the Sunday night home win against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6. Quarterback Jordan Love did not finish with the flashiest stat line as he had 276 passing yards, two touchdowns (one passing, one rushing) and one interception. Nevertheless, Packers coach Matt LaFleurgave some love to Jordan Love following the game.
“He’s a G. We talk about playing like a G. He’s a G,” LaFleur said, per Packers writer Zach Jacobson.
After a somewhat shaky start to the season, Jordan Love has indeed been playing like a G for the Packers in recent weeks. In his previous two games, he threw for 567 yards and completed over 70 percent of his passes.

It has certainly helped that he has not one, but two reliable wide receivers in Christian Watson and Matthew Golden to call upon. Golden, in particular, has raised his game over the last month. He finished with six catches for 104 yards and a touchdown against the Cowboys, his third 100-yard receiving game in his last four outings.
The potential injury of tight end Tucker Kraft is a slight concern moving forward. But at least there’s the looming return of Josh Jacobs to help reinvigorate an anemic running game.
At the end of the day, though, the Packers’ fortunes this season will hinge on Love. While he has proven he is a G capable of delivering in big moments, the there is another level he will need to reach if the Packers are to progress further in the postseason.
