ⓘ Timex
Timex is bringing a little cartoon nostalgia to your wrist with three new Looney Tunes watches featuring Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote, Marvin the Martian, and Tweety Bird. The affordable quartz watches pair playful dials with practical designs, including a few fun surprises hidden in the backlight.
Alongside the Bugs Bunny M79 Automatic, Timex has dropped three new affordable Looney Tunes watches across its Expedition Scout, Easy Reader, and Weekender collections. These are fun little timepieces that are sure to appeal to Looney Tunes fans and casual watch enthusiasts alike, with each model putting a beloved character front and center with thoughtful detailing.
First up is the Road Runner & Wile E. Coyote Expedition Scout (TW2Y99400), a tribute to the greatest exercise in futility in cartoon history. The tan dial captures Road Runner watching Wile E. Coyote embark on yet another ill-fated ACME scheme. A brushed gunmetal-tone 40mm case, luminous hands, and a brown leather strap with contrasting stitching give it the rugged appeal you’d expect from the Expedition Scout.
The best detail is hidden in the INDIGLO backlight: Press the crown, and the dial reveals Wile E. Coyote’s spectacular crash landing. Beep-beep, indeed.
Marvin the Martian x Timex Easy Reader
Next up we have the Marvin the Martian Easy Reader (TW2Y99300), which trades desert slapstick for intergalactic mischief. Set against a star-speckled black dial, Marvin takes aim with his trusty ray gun, presumably still plotting to blow up Earth. A polished silver-tone 38mm case, metallic Roman numerals, and a black leather strap with tan stitching keep the design relatively simple. Hit the INDIGLO backlight, however, and Marvin’s blazing ray burst comes alive—The Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator is, thankfully, not included.
Tweety Bird x Timex Weekender
Rounding out the trio is the Tweety Bird Weekender (TW2Y99500). Its bright blue dial features the mischievous yellow canary with outstretched arms that double as the hour and minute hands. A polished silver-tone 38mm case and matching blue fabric strap give it an easygoing look that feels right at home in the Weekender family.
