FOR TODAY’S Filipino consumers, staying connected has become as essential as everyday shopping. Whether keeping in touch with loved ones, managing online transactions, accessing digital services, or sharing life’s important moments, connectivity has become an integral part of daily life.
Recognizing this evolving need, Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) and Robinsons Supermarket continue to strengthen a long-standing partnership focused on making mobile connectivity more accessible and convenient for customers across the country.
Since 2012, Smart and Robinsons Supermarket have worked together to bring Smart Prepaid and TNT products closer to consumers through Robinsons Supermarket’s extensive retail network, including Robinsons Supermarket, Easymart, Shopwise, and The Marketplace. Over the years, the collaboration has evolved beyond product availability to include customer-focused promotions, in-store initiatives, and e-commerce activations that provide more convenient ways for customers to access connectivity products and services.
The enduring partnership reflects a shared commitment to delivering greater value and relevance to Filipino consumers, helping them stay connected wherever life takes them while adapting to increasingly digital lifestyles.
“The strength of our partnership with Robinsons Supermarket comes from a shared understanding of today’s connected consumer,” said Christian So, AVP and Head of Modern Trade at Smart. “For more than a decade, we’ve worked together to make connectivity a seamless part of everyday life, whether customers are shopping in-store, engaging online, or participating in community events. By combining Robinsons Supermarket’s strong retail presence with Smart’s reliable 5G network, we’re able to deliver a relevant and meaningful 5G experience that supports how Filipinos live, work, and play.”
Smart and Robinsons Supermarket have also expanded their collaboration through experiences that engage customers beyond the retail environment.
Most recently, Smart supported the Robinsons Supermarket 18th Fit & Wellness Buddy Run 2026 in Cebu, following the successful Manila leg of the event. The initiative brought together families, fitness enthusiasts, and wellness advocates, reflecting the brands’ shared commitment to promoting active lifestyles and fostering stronger community connections.
At both the Manila and Cebu runs, participants experienced the Smart New Power All through engaging activities, giveaways, a photobooth, and charging stations. Powered by Smart 5G, runners, organizers, and spectators enjoyed a reliable 5G experience, allowing them to stay connected and share memorable moments throughout the event.
“Strong partnerships are built on a shared commitment to customer relevance,” said Kerwin Legarde, Group General Manager of Robinsons Supermarket. “For over a decade, Smart has been a trusted partner in helping us enhance customer experience across our retail ecosystem. As consumers embrace more digital lifestyles, collaborations like this allow us to combine the strengths of retail and connectivity to better serve our customers wherever they choose to engage with us.”
The partnership continues to create value for customers by combining the convenience of one of the country’s leading supermarket chains with the reliability of Smart’s connectivity services. Through both physical and digital channels, Smart and Robinsons Supermarket remain focused on delivering a seamless and rewarding customer experience. [
