Saturday promises a spectacular start with three ‘Grade-I’ contests adding to the excitement. All eyes will be on Adhirajsingh Jodha-trained Time And Tide (A. Sandesh-tup), who will be chasing a remarkable hat-trick in the 1,200m Zavaray Poonawalla Sprinters’ Cup after having won the last two editions.

The 2,000m Zavaray S. Poonawalla Derby is wide open, setting the stage for a gripping contest. Prasanna Kumar’s Stud Poker (Suraj Narredu) holds a slender edge over Black Irish (Trevor Patel) and Mahogany (G. Vivek), but the challenge is far from straightforward. James McKeown’s 1,000 Guineas winner, Royal Legacy (Akshay Kumar), could prove to be the dark horse.
With a potential hat-trick bid and a stamina showdown, an unpredictable Derby is on the cards, Mysore is braced for a weekend packed with high-class racing and edge-of-the-seat excitement.
