Drama is in Lisa Rinna’s DNA. After her early days playing a drug-addicted singer on “Days of Our Lives” and a deliciously conniving backstabber on “Melrose Place,” the actor really found her stride off-script, on reality TV. The star’s fanbase grew exponentially after seeing her unabashedly unfiltered self on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and most recently on “Traitors,” where she performed a faux “murder in plain sight,” killing a fellow contestant in style using a cursed brooch.
This stage of her Rinna-ssance has the two-time New York Times best-selling author becoming a fashion darling for the likes of Marc Jacobs and Balenciaga. Like her career, Rinna says her wardrobe is always evolving. Currently, she describes her look as “classic, simple and chic — but with risks.” Her model daughters, Amelia Gray, 25, and Delilah Belle, 28 (whom she shares with husband Harry Hamlin), are her fashion muses. “I copy them,” the 63-year-old confesses to Alexa. “They have the coolest style.”
The well-dressed duo might not think the same about their mom, though. “They haven’t quite discovered how f–kin’ cool my s–t is,” she says. “But they will.” No doubt that’s not just lip service from the woman with the signature pout. Until then, the rest of us can appreciate Rinna’s version of quiet luxury — the only thing quiet about her.
