Some Manchester United players are believed to be unhappy with the direction the Premier League club is heading.
This has been revealed amid the outburst from defender Lisandro Martinez after the 2-0 loss to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Martinez accused the club’s hierarchy of lacking ambition and failing to bolster the squad in the summer.
The Argentine’s rant has left his future at Old Trafford uncertain, with senior officials mulling over a possible sanction.
But it is now claimed he is not the only member of the squad that is aggrieved.
Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, wrote on X: “Lisandro Martínez, not the only player at Manchester United with that view of the situation at club level.
“Man United assessing possible sanction/fine for Licha, as @lauriewhitwell reports.
“Out of contract in June 2027 but club option until 2028.”
United have failed to win their last five fixtures under Michael Carrick.
This run of results has piled pressure on Carrick, who only took on the role on a permanent basis this summer.
