I never lived in South Carolina, so I never voted for or was represented by Lindsey Graham. That being said, from what I've heard from his constituents and his colleagues, Graham was a decent man who cared deeply about his state and this country. So when I heard about the documentary that Graham was gay, I wasn't surprised.
To me, that's as newsworthy as saying water is wet. There isn't a single Republican who is surprised by this, nor are any of us upset or offended by Graham's orientation.
— Swamp Watch (@Swamp__Watch) October 22, 2026BREAKING: Three male escorts say the late Republican Senator Lindsey Graham paid them for sex.
One of them was reportedly 17 at the time.

But what's absolutely fascinating to me about this story is this: once again, the Left has decided to use being gay as a slur again. They do this every time they want to smear a Republican, which is odd, because I thought there was nothing wrong with being gay. At least, that's what the Left tells me every June during Pride Month. Or on March 31 for "Transgender Day of Visibility" or on May 22 for "Harvey Milk Day" or on October 11 for "National Coming Out Day."
You get my point.
Jesse James Rose, a writer for The Advocate, argued that those he considers "hostile" to LGBTQ rights do not deserve privacy and defended exposing Graham.

That's a fun new standard by which to invade privacy.
I don't particularly like politicians who undermine my First and Second Amendment rights. Can I violate their privacy? Somehow, I'm guessing Rose would say that's (D)ifferent.
The other thing is this: Swamp Watch says this project was a year in the making; Graham died July 11. Who did it serve to out a dead man, save their own egos?
Absolutely no one.
It also seems suspect to me that none of these accusers came forward for the 23 years Graham was in the Senate, or for the eight years he was in the House. Jake Tapper, Rachel Maddow, and a slew of other left-wing journalists would've loved to have them on, even anonymously, to out Graham and possibly get him voted out of Congress. I notice that they didn't.
If this is the Democrats' October surprise, I admit I'm disappointed and I really like our chances on November 3. But more than that, I'm embarrassed for them. Someone has to be, because it's clear they have no shame and are incapable of feeling embarrassment.
