The results of this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will be published on October 29 (Thursday). Professor Syed Akteruzzaman, President of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Chairman of the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, confirmed this information in a notification issued on Saturday (October 24).
The notification stated that for the information of all concerned, it has been decided that the results of the 2023 HSC and equivalent examinations will be published on October 29. Detailed information regarding the results will be announced through a press release on October 26 (Monday).
Earlier, a notice regarding the publication date of HSC and equivalent exam results had spread on social media. The Inter-Education Board Examination Controller Committee later declared that notice to be completely false and deliberately misleading.
The committee stated that the education boards have no connection with the misleading notification circulated on social media, which mentioned the date and time of the 2023 HSC exam results publication.
All decisions, notifications, and instructions related to examinations and results are published on the official websites and verified Facebook pages of the Ministry of Education, the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, and the respective education boards.
In this situation, the committee urged examinees, guardians, teachers, heads of educational institutions, officials in charge of centers, and the general public not to believe or share any information spread on social media without verification. At the same time, they requested everyone to refrain from spreading rumors and misleading information.
It is worth noting that this year’s HSC and equivalent examinations began on July 2. A total of 1,270,583 candidates, including regular and irregular ones, were scheduled to appear in the examination this year. However, a significant number of candidates were absent from the exams.
