It was an emotional weekend for the Detroit Lions. That's because Cynthia Miller, the wife of long-time radio announcer Dan Miller, died at the age of 63. Detroit Tigers play-by-play announcer Jason Benetti filled in for Miller on the radio during his regular game duties for the Lions' matchup with the Arizona Cardinals.
It's what Dan Campbell did for Miller after Detroit's eventual 45-21 victory that shows the kind of human being he is. An emotional Campbell opened up his press conference by giving the game ball to Miller in the wake of his family's terrible tragedy.
What an incredible gesture by the Lions coach that we're sure Miller and his family really appreciate:

In these emotional moments, Campbell reminds you that he truly understands what matters most in life. It's not football or any of the trimmings around it. It's the love and care of those around you. May the Miller family find peace in this time of tremendous grief.
