By Zoila Palma: The Ministry of E-Governance continued its efforts to strengthen digital skills across the public service with its Digital Confidence and Foundational Workplace Skills Training program on October 20, 2026.
The training, delivered through the E-Governance Academy, brought together public officers from the Southern Regional Hospital, Immigration Department and Western Regional Hospital for Cohorts 3 and 4.
Held in the Ministry’s Training Room, the sessions featured practical exercises and interactive learning activities designed to help participants become more confident in using digital tools. The training also focused on essential workplace skills to improve productivity, communication and the delivery of public services.
The program forms part of the Ministry’s broader public sector modernization agenda and its ongoing efforts to build the capacity of government employees. By equipping public officers with relevant digital knowledge and workplace competencies, the initiative aims to help them adapt to an increasingly digital working environment and contribute to greater operational efficiency.
The Ministry of E-Governance says it remains committed to providing continuous learning opportunities to support a digitally empowered and future-ready public service.
