THE REIGNING queens of Miss Asia Pacific International (MAPI) were honored with a warm Dabawenyo welcome during their recent official visit to Davao City.
The leg officially commenced with a courtesy call at the Office of the City Mayor, where the queens were warmly received by Vice Mayor Rodrigo S. Duterte II, Councilor Myrna Dalodo-Ortiz, and City Tourism Operations Office OIC Willenito P. Tormis Jr. The meeting highlighted Davao City’s support for cultural exchange and tourism-driven initiatives.
As part of their immersive itinerary, the MAPI winners explored Davao’s top ecotourism landmarks, including the Malagos Garden Resort, the Eden Nature Park, and the world-renowned Philippine Eagle Center. The visits highlighted the city’s dedication to biodiversity preservation and environmental sustainability—values deeply aligned with MAPI’s overarching advocacy.

Adding a flavorful touch to their visit, the ladies also experienced Davao’s rich culinary heritage, including the King of Fruits, durian, as well as the city’s famous pomelo and mangosteen.
The Davao City leg is part of MAPI’s advocacy to promote Philippine culture, tourism, and women empowerment across its host cities.
