Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy alleged that a canal had been dug from Kondapochammasagar to Panchapandavula Cheruvu and that water was being pumped directly to the hundreds of acres of BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s farmhouse.
The Chief Minister asked what the justification was for diversion of water to KCR’s farmhouse and challenged him to agree to the removal of the pump connection. He proposed the constitution of a fact-finding committee to investigate the matter and establish where the water from Panchapandavula Cheruvu was being supplied.
The Chief Minister challenged the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) to participate in a debate in the Legislative Assembly on Krishna and Godavari water-sharing issues, alleging that the previous government had compromised Telangana’s water rights.
The government was ready to discuss how the State’s interests had been affected and asked the BRS leadership to stop making what he described as false allegations against the government. “People will not believe you if you keep repeating falsehoods. As long as you continue to lie, we will continue to tell the truth,” he said.
