Sindh has become the first province in the country to integrate all its educational boards with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
The province signed an agreement with NADRA to connect the boards to the secure digital system of the authority. Provincial Minister for Universities Ismail Rahoo, the Director General (DG) of NADRA and the chairmen of all boards attended the signing ceremony.
Speaking at the event, Rahoo said the integration will help prevent fake degrees and proxy exams, in which a person takes an examination on the behalf of someone else. He said the system will also bring transparency to the examination process and digitize educational records.
The minister added that the verified educational degrees of students will be available on the Pak ID app. The NADRA DG said the authority will provide the integration facility to all educational boards free of charge.
