CariGenetics and Harmonic Health Consultants have announced a strategic partnership aimed at expanding access to personalised healthcare solutions in the Cayman Islands.
Harmonic Health Consultants, the parent company of Regenexx Cayman, has been serving the local community since 2010 and is now expanding its healthcare offerings through a new partnership with CariGenetics. The collaboration brings together Harmonic Health Consultants’ established presence in the local healthcare sector, with CariGenetics’ expertise in genomics and precision health. Together, the organisations aim to strengthen local access to genetic testing while creating opportunities to integrate genomic information into healthcare delivery in the Cayman Islands.
A major focus of the collaboration is pharmacogenetic testing, which examines how someone’s DNA can influence their response to certain medications. These insights can support healthcare professionals in selecting appropriate medications and dosages, helping to reduce the risk of adverse drug reactions and improve treatment outcomes. As healthcare systems increasingly move towards more personalised approaches, pharmacogenetics can help healthcare professionals make safer, more informed and personalised prescribing decisions based on a patient’s genetic profile. CariGenetics’ ongoing work across the Caribbean has already highlighted differences in pharmacogenetic findings between island populations, reinforcing the importance of generating genetic insights that reflect the region’s diversity.
The partnership will also introduce genetic wellness testing, providing individuals with insights into genetic characteristics that may influence aspects of their health and wellbeing. These services can complement existing healthcare practices by encouraging greater awareness of individual health profiles and supporting more informed discussions between patients and their healthcare providers.
For the Cayman Islands, the collaboration represents an opportunity to build on its established healthcare infrastructure while expanding access to genomic technologies. By making these services available locally, the organisations aim to support preventative healthcare, strengthen clinical decision-making and create new opportunities for healthcare professionals to incorporate genetic insights into patient care.

Cayman Islands Healthcare Conference
To mark the partnership, CariGenetics and Harmonic Health Consultants will participate in the Cayman Islands Healthcare Conference 2026, taking place from 22–24 Oct. at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.
Jacqueline Ebanks, director at Harmonic Health Consultants said, “We’re pleased to partner with CariGenetics to make genetic testing more accessible in the Cayman Islands. At Harmonic Health Consultants, we’ve long valued research and its potential to improve healthcare. We see this collaboration as a step toward more personalised, proactive care, giving people access to testing and results they can discuss with their own doctors. Beyond individual health, we believe genetic research has an important role to play in understanding our population’s health needs and informing future healthcare priorities at a national level.”
Beyond the initial introduction of testing services, the partnership creates opportunities for healthcare professional education, clinical collaboration and the continued development of genomic services. An important priority will be ensuring that genetic testing is accompanied by appropriate clinical interpretation and guidance, allowing the information generated to support meaningful healthcare decisions.
Offering genetic testing across communities
Dr. Carika Weldon, founder and CEO of CariGenetics, said, “Ensuring the Caribbean has access to precision medicine tools provided by genetic testing is the first step to empowering our communities to make healthier decisions on what medications work best for us, finding disease risk earlier for better prevention and how to tailor our lifestyles to our DNA, rather than science from somewhere else. We have seen the impact already in Bermuda, Saint Lucia and Barbados. We are thrilled to partner with Harmonic Health Consultants to now include the Caymans Islands in our work. We invite those who may be intrigued to learn more to download our free CariGenetics Wellness app, available on Apple or Android, to see how their lifestyle may be impacting their biological age or the health of their skin.”
As the partnership develops, both organisations will continue to engage healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to support the responsible introduction and integration of genetic testing services. This collaboration represents an important step towards building a more connected Caribbean healthcare ecosystem, where advances in genomics and precision medicine can be translated into meaningful benefits for patients, healthcare providers and communities across the region.
