Psychological assessments for teachers and students will be introduced in all educational institutions in Uzbekistan. They will be rolled out in kindergartens and schools in the 2026−2027 academic year, followed by technical schools and universities in 2027−2028.
Targeted psychological assessments for teachers, kindergarten educators and children, school pupils and university students will be introduced in all educational institutions in Uzbekistan. They will be conducted at least once per academic year, according to a presidential resolution dated 19 October.
The assessments will be introduced in two stages:
In the 2026−2027 academic year, in preschool and general education institutions;
In the 2027−2028 academic year, in secondary specialized, vocational and higher education institutions.
The results will be used to assess the need for psychological support and improve educational programs.
The assessments will be conducted by the newly established Research Institute of Psychology using internationally recognized standardized methodologies through a dedicated electronic platform.
Personal data collected during the assessments must remain confidential.
The results will be analyzed using artificial intelligence. Based on the findings, participants will be divided into three groups: those who are psychologically stable, those who need psychological support and those who need active psychological support.
A psychologist at the relevant educational institution will be assigned to those who need psychological support. Those requiring active psychological support will be assigned a mentor psychologist responsible for the relevant area.
