Bassey delivered the message during the Hallelujah Challenge, the online prayer gathering he hosts. He withheld the individual’s identity and gender, saying he wanted to avoid unnecessary speculation.
According to the cleric, the vision revealed that someone had been strategically placed within the rising minister’s inner circle with the intention of targeting both the minister and a head of department in the ministry.
Nathaniel Bassey Details His Vision
During the prayer session, Bassey explained that the alleged plot involved physical intimacy that, although not amounting to full sexual activity, could still have serious consequences for the minister’s reputation and years of work.
He suggested that the situation described in the vision was deliberately orchestrated rather than accidental, adding that the person allegedly involved was prepared to go further than what he had seen.
Bassey did not identify the minister or provide details that would establish the person’s identity.
Cleric Prays Against the Alleged Plot
Following his account of the vision, Bassey cited Jude 1:24 and prayed for divine protection for the unnamed minister.
He also extended his prayer to spouses, church leaders and members of the wider Christian community.
He declared:
"I declare a way of escape. That plan shall not happen...if it remains a nanosecond for you to give in, may the hand of God yank you away from it."
The cleric’s message focused on protection from temptation and the possibility of avoiding the alleged situation before it could occur.
His claims were presented as a vision he said he received; the account does not independently establish that the alleged plot exists or identify anyone involved.
