The President of the MAAUN Group of Universities, Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has congratulated former Kano State Governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, on his 70th birthday, commending his contributions to education and human development.
Mr Kwankwaso, who turns 70 on Wednesday, is the New Nigeria Development Congress (NDC) vice-presidential candidate.
In a congratulatory message contained in a statement he personally signed and made available to journalists, Mr Gwarzo described Kwankwaso as a leader who had made significant investments in Kano State, particularly through scholarships and initiatives aimed at empowering young people.
He said Kwankwaso’s interventions in education and human capital development would remain an important part of the state’s history.
“You have invested heavily in education and human development through scholarship opportunities, giving many people access to education and creating pathways for a better future. The history of Kano State will remember these immense contributions to the lives of its people,” he said.
Mr Gwarzo added that Kwankwaso’s commitment to education and human capital development was worthy of emulation by politicians seeking to make a lasting impact on society.
According to him, investing in people, particularly through education, remains one of the most effective ways to promote sustainable development and create opportunities for future generations.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the former governor good health, wisdom and renewed strength as he marks the milestone.
“On behalf of my family and the entire MAAUN Group of Universities, I wish you a happy 70th birthday and many happy returns,” he said.
