AUSTIN - Star Texas Longhorns edge rusher Colin Simmons was carted off with an apparent leg injury during the second half of Saturday's game against Florida.
Simmons went down with 13:47 left in the fourth quarter and was attended to on the field and helped off after appearing to injure his right ankle.
About five minutes of game time later, he was carted off and did not return to the game.
After the Longhorns' 27-24 loss, coach Steve Sarkisian said Simmons has a lower leg injury, but didn't know the extent of the injury.
