Spectrum Software & Consulting (Pvt.) Ltd (SSCL) has been listed as a TradeTrust-Ready Partner, which the company described as a first for a Bangladeshi technology firm and a milestone in supporting trusted, interoperable and paperless international trade.
The recognition builds on SSCL's work in banking and trade-finance digitisation and positions it to support Bangladesh's emerging digital-trade ecosystem, according to the press release.
TradeTrust is a digital trade framework developed by Singapore's Infocomm Media Development Authority. It enables electronic trade documents to be securely issued, transferred and independently verified across different systems and jurisdictions.
SSCL is listed among TradeTrust-Ready Partners alongside international technology companies, digital trade platforms and financial institutions.
The recognition comes as Bangladesh introduces measures to expand digital trade.
On 1 July, 2026, Bangladesh Bank issued FEPD-1 Circular No 15, establishing a pilot framework for digital processing of export and import documents under documentary collections and letters of credit through approved trade corridors.
The framework emphasises interoperability, technology neutrality, independent verification, data privacy and the legal reliability of electronic trade documents. It requires documents to work across different systems without dependence on a single platform.
SSCL has developed solutions for trade finance, supply chain finance, artificial intelligence, document intelligence and enterprise automation. These include its digital trade platform GreenLC and letter-of-credit automation solution SpectraTrade.
The company said it had developed an interoperable digital trade platform before the current regulatory initiative and brought together more than 10 leading Bangladeshi banks to explore the digitisation of letter-of-credit and trade-document processes.
It said the initiative demonstrated interest within the banking sector while providing practical experience in addressing the technological, interoperability and institutional challenges involved in developing a digital-trade ecosystem.
SSCL said the benefits of digital trade extended beyond replacing paper documents with electronic records.
Interoperable systems could shorten processing times, reduce administrative costs, improve transparency and allow businesses and financial institutions to exchange trusted documents more efficiently across borders.
For an export-oriented economy such as Bangladesh, these efficiencies could help lower trade costs and strengthen international competitiveness, the company said.
Bangladesh Bank's framework encourages digital trade platforms and technology providers that support cross-platform compatibility and independent verification, while avoiding dependence on a particular vendor.
SSCL said its TradeTrust-Ready status would help it connect local banks and businesses with global standards for digital trade.
The company described the listing as recognition of its technological capabilities and a step towards its aim of enabling faster, safer, more connected and paperless trade for Bangladesh.
