Uzbekistan's Uzatom Agency has received ISO 37001:2025 certification, confirming that its anti-bribery management system complies with the requirements of the international standard. A certificate presentation ceremony was held at the agency following an assessment conducted by the international certification body CERT International.
The ISO 37001:2025 standard, titled "Anti-bribery management systems — Requirements with guidance for use," was implemented at the Uzatom Agency in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 124, dated March 30, 2026. Auditors from CERT International conducted assessments of the agency's anti-corruption management system in July and October 2026.
Following the audits, the certification body confirmed that the agency's management system fully complied with the requirements of ISO 37001:2025. The certification confirms the agency's implementation of an anti-bribery management system aligned with the international standard. Speaking at the ceremony, Nozim Muksinov, Deputy Director of the Uzatom Agency, addressed the importance of incorporating anti-corruption principles into the agency's operations.
"It is essential for us that the principles of integrity and zero tolerance for corruption become an integral part of our daily operations. ISO 37001:2025 certification confirms that we are systematically building exactly this kind of culture," Muksinov stated.
The agency noted that certification is intended to support transparency, strengthen internal control processes and increase the predictability of procedures within the nuclear sector. Riad Ibragimov, Director of CERT International, participated in the certificate presentation ceremony. Commenting on the audit results, he highlighted the agency's approach to implementing its anti-corruption management system.
"The Uzatom Agency has demonstrated a mature and consistent approach to implementing an anti-corruption management system. Compliance with the ISO 37001:2025 standard testifies to the organization's high level of responsibility and its commitment to meeting international transparency requirements," Ibragimov stated.
During the ceremony, employees of the Uzatom Agency's internal anti-corruption control unit also received certificates from CERT Academy. The certificates were awarded for completing the "Manager / Internal Auditor of an Anti-Bribery Management System (ISO 37001:2025)" training program.
