The agency formerly known as Wasserman is set to change its name again just months after ditching its previous moniker over its founder’s ties to Ghislaine Maxwell, City AM has learned.
The global sports and celebrity group, which counts Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and the upcoming Nations Championship rugby competition among its clients, told staff in an all hands meeting yesterday it would be rebranding again after naming itself ‘The.Team’ earlier this year, sources told City AM.
The company is yet to land on a new name but is likely to announce its new branding early next year, the sources said.
Founder Casey Wasserman put the group up for sale earlier this year after emails with convicted sex-trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell were published as part of the so-called Epstein Files released by the US government.
Private equity firm Providence Capital agreed a deal to buy Casey Wasserman’s stake in the company in July.

The company – which occupies offices in Aldwych House – was hit by a client exodus after the emails were published, including Singer Chappell Roan.
“No artist, agent or employee should ever be expected to defend or overlook actions that conflict so deeply with our own moral values,” Roan said on social media. “I refuse to passively stand by.”
The Mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, called for the entertainment mogul to resign from his role as chairman of the 2028 Olympic Games Organising Committee, a position he ultimately kept.
“The board made a decision [to keep him],” Bass said in February. “I think that decision was unfortunate. I don’t support the decision, I do think that we need to look at the leadership.
“However, my job as mayor of Los Angeles is to make sure that our city is completely prepared to have the best Olympics that has ever happened in Olympic history.”
City AM approached The Team for comment. A spokesperson was not immediately available.
