Welcome back, old friend. It was a trade shrouded in mystery, but when the dust settled, two former Ohio State stars were reunited in the NFL. Marvin Harrison Jr. and C.J. Stroud will look to rekindle a flame that led to great success in Columbus.
Harrison and Stroud formed one of the most deadly combinations in all of college football. The dynamic duo only got one full year together, but that one year was something to behold. Stroud would be a Heisman finalist, throwing for 3,688 yards, 41 touchdowns, and just six interceptions. Harrison would be on the receiving end of 1,263 of those yards and 14 touchdowns. Stroud left OSU after his junior season and was drafted No. 2 by the Houston Texans. Harrison would leave a year later, being drafted No. 4 by the Arizona Cardinals.
Stroud would start his NFL career with a ton of upside, leading his team to the playoffs and winning the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. His production has waned some in recent years, but the potential is still there. Part of the issue has been injuries taking away some of his top playmakers.
Harrison, on the other hand, has not really lived up to the hype that surrounded him in Scarlet and Gray. But there have been issues with the front office and coaches from the beginning. It seemed that both sides were looking for a fresh start. And so, Maserati Marv rejoins his running Buckeye running mate, looking to reignite what was once one of the most prolific passing attacks in the country.

The Cardinals received a 2027 second-round and sixth-round pick in exchange for sending Harrison to the Texans. It seems like a low-risk, high-reward option in what could be the beginning of a resurgence for both players.
