(ANSA) - ROME, 22 OTT - Como are savouring one of the greatest nights of their history after trashing English giants Manchester United 4-1 at home in the Champions League on Wednesday while 10-man Inter Milan dug deep to eke out a 1-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk at the San Siro to get the first points of their current European campaign.
The wins followed victories by AS Roma and Napoli on Tuesday as the Italy's teams bounced back in Europe's premier club competition after all four lost their games last week.
Argentina playmaker Nico Paz was the star for Champions League debutants Como, scoring a double and laying on an assist to help lift them to ninth in the standings with six points from three games.
Carlos Augusto completed a counterattack to earn Italian champions Inter a precious victory after defender Alessandro Bastoni was send off for a second yellow card.
Inter are 20th with three points.
Napoli, who are 22nd, also have three points thanks to the 4-3 home win over Bodo/Glimt 4-3.
Roma, who thumped Slovan Bratislava 4-0, are 15th with four points. (ANSA).
