Ashwaubenon junior wideout Logan Kozloski was last week’s winner, receiving 18,508 votes. It is the most votes in the first eight weeks of the 2026-27 athlete of the week poll.
Pulaski kicker Mason Borseth was runner-up with 12,967 votes. That would have been good enough for the top spot in six of the first seven weeks.
Here are this week's nominees. Be sure to vote in the poll below.
Wyatt Bieber, Coleman football
The senior had a big day in a 35-13 win over Crivitz that helped the Cougars win a share of the Northwoods championship.
Bieber rushed 31 times for 227 yards and three touchdowns and had an interception on defense.
He has rushed for 924 yards and 14 TDs this season.
Maria Cristescu and Lillianna Graf, De Pere tennis
It’s impossible to separate the two in the poll when they clearly do their best work together.
The Redbirds’ No. 1 doubles team won the WIAA Division 1 state championship with a 6-4, 4-6, 10-7 victory over the Hartland Arrowhead duo of Isabella Heidenberger and Iris Liu.
Cristescu and Graf not only became the first De Pere athletes to win a state tennis title, but they are the first local D1 girls doubles team to win a state championship since the tournament started in 1971.
Aubrey Frey, Luxemburg-Casco volleyball
The senior outsider hitter had 56 kills, 29 digs, four blocks and five aces to help the Spartans finish first at the 12-team Spartan Invite.
She also had 14 kills, 10 digs and two aces in a 3-0 win at Waupaca to close out the North Eastern Conference season and finish runner-up to Oconto Falls.
Frey recently became L-C’s all-time leader in kills and has more than 2,000 in her decorated career.
Madelyn Gicius, Bay Port golf
Had a memorable two days at the D1 state golf meet.
The senior finished tied for seventh overall with a 150, 12 strokes behind state champion McKenna Nelson of Beaver Dam.
Perhaps even better, she was instrumental in helping the Pirates finish runner-up to state powerhouse Divine Savior Holy Angels, which won its fourth consecutive championship.
Arya Shefchik, Green Bay Preble cross-country
Took first at the Fox River Classic Conference Championships with a time of 18 minutes, 29.9 seconds, ahead of the 18:48.8 from Hornets teammate and runner-up Georgia Koss.
Shefchik, who placed 33rd at the D1 state meet last season, helped Preble win its third consecutive conference championship.
