Gemini’s prediction markets platform has now processed more than 329 million contracts. That figure covers the period from its December 2025 launch through October 21, 2026, spread across more than 2.5 million trades.
The numbers behind Gemini Titan
The platform runs under the name Gemini Titan. It operates as a Designated Contract Market overseen by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), which puts it in the same regulatory category as the venues where traditional futures trade.
Its product is the binary event contract. Each contract asks a yes-or-no question and settles at either $1 or $0.
Growth has been steep. Gemini crossed 100 million contracts by May 2026, reached 225 million by mid-August 2026, and passed 329 million by October 21.
The early revenue was more modest. The 100 million contract milestone came with approximately $400,000 in first-quarter revenue from about 20,000 users.
Dashboards, APIs and a Command Center
On October 21, 2026, Gemini launched public dashboards for its prediction markets. They show trading volume, open interest and market concentration, and they break the data down by category: sports, politics, asset prices and commodities.
The dashboards follow several product additions. Gemini has rolled out batch-order APIs, which let traders submit multiple orders at once, along with combo contracts and an AI-powered tool it calls the “Command Center.”
A long road to a short launch
The exchange first applied for Designated Contract Market status in March 2020. The CFTC granted approval on December 10, 2025. The platform went live on December 16, 2025, six days after approval.
It entered a market that is getting crowded. Kalshi and the US version of Polymarket also compete for American users who want to trade on event outcomes under a regulated structure.
The state-level problem
Gemini faces a lawsuit from the New York Attorney General, filed in April 2026. It has also received a cease-and-desist order from Connecticut over its sports contracts, tied to allegations of unlicensed gambling.
The central question is whether a contract on a game’s outcome is a regulated derivative or a sports bet under another name. Federal approval places Gemini under the CFTC. State officials who regulate gambling see the same product and reach a different conclusion.
That dispute matters because sports is one of the categories Gemini now tracks on its public dashboards. If state actions restrict those contracts, the impact will be visible in the platform’s own published data.
