Citizens Bank PLC has opened its Ruhitpur sub-branch in Keraniganj, Dhaka, to provide banking services to local businesses and retail customers.
The bank's Managing Director Alamgir Hossain formally inaugurated the sub-branch as chief guest recently, according to the press release.
Speaking at the ceremony, Alamgir said the bank would prioritise small and medium enterprises by providing tailored financing solutions, working capital support, trade finance facilities and advisory services to help local entrepreneurs expand their businesses and remain competitive.
He said retail customers would have access to a range of deposit products, consumer loans, remittance services and modern digital banking solutions.
These services are designed to meet customers' evolving financial needs and contribute to the socioeconomic development of the communities served by the bank, he added.
Local businesspeople from various sectors, community representatives and professionals attended the ceremony.
Citizens Bank Deputy Managing Directors Md Mostafizur Rahman and Md Abdul Latif, along with other senior officials, were also present.
