Aden – The President of the Southern Transitional Council in Yemen, Aidarus al-Zubaidi, strongly condemned "the heinous crime committed by the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militia in targeting the Al-Alam camp in Shabwa Governorate."
In a statement, al-Zubaidi said the attack "resulted in dozens of casualties among the people of the South, including martyrs and wounded."
In a message of condolence to the families of the victims, he affirmed that "this brutal crime is a continuation of the dark record of the Houthi terrorist militia," stressing that "the blood of the people of the South will not be shed in vain, and the militia's crimes against our people and our land will not go unpunished."
Al-Zubaidi asserted that "defending the South, protecting its people, and confronting any threats targeting its security and stability will remain a steadfast national priority."
The head of the Southern Transitional Council warned against “attempts to drag the South into the raging war in the North and turn its lands into a launching pad for military operations over which it has no say,” holding “the parties that made the decision for war responsible for the risks and repercussions of their choices on the South and its people, without absolving the Houthi militia of its direct responsibility for its attacks.”
