Last Sunday, October 18, the Victoria’s Secret fashion show returned to the city of Los Angeles after 19 years away. At the event, Kylie Jenner, an influencer and celebrity, appeared as a model, making her runway debut wearing one of the most spectacular designs: a ‘Fantasy Bra’ worth no less than 50 million dollars, created together with the jewelry brand Jacob & Co.
These types of pieces, moreover, had not been debuted in one of the brand’s fashion shows since 2018 and, curiously, Jenner wore the most expensive model in history. Her appearance was completely surprising, as Victoria’s Secret had kept it a secret and wanted to unveil it on the company’s most special night in recent years.

Jenner was accompanied by her partner, actor Timothée Chalamet, and her mother, Kris Jenner, who did not want to miss the influencer's debut on one of the most important runways in the world.
In addition to Jenner, there was no shortage of other big names such as, for example, Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid, Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, Ashley Graham, Joan Smalls, Liu Wen and Paloma Elsesser, among other models.
The controversies surrounding Victoria’s Secret
Victoria’s Secret fashion shows had been absent for years, as they left New York in 2019 after strong criticism over their lack of body diversity and demanding beauty standards. In addition, the brand had not been to Los Angeles for 19 years. After the hiatus, the company decided to return this 2026 and, moreover, with surprises such as Kylie Jenner’s.
However, criticism of the show was quick to emerge on social media, such as those related to the notable absences of Romee Strijd or Lais Ribeiro. Some comments point out how Victoria’s Secret would be giving prominence to influencers over veteran models like those mentioned above.
