Boltay Huroof launched a Braille application and a book to improve access to educational resources for people with visual impairments.
The app enables users to convert Urdu and English text into Braille, offering a technology-based solution to accessibility challenges, including the shortage of Braille textbooks and learning materials.
The digital tool was launched at the Accessibility Beyond Barriers Conference 2026, held at the JS Auditorium, IBA City Campus.
The conference brought together educators, public officials and community representatives to discuss inclusive education and ways to make learning environments more accessible.
Speaking at the event, Boltay Huroof CEO S H Umar said the organisation had spent eight years developing a book readable by both sighted and blind people.
He stressed the need for sustained government support to expand inclusive innovations and ensure equal opportunities for persons with disabilities.
The event featured a panel discussion on educational barriers and concluded with the distribution of books and certificates.
