Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defense Directorate has announced that four people were injured and 15 residential units were damaged after debris from two intercepted cruise missiles fell in Riyadh, the country’s capital.
Al Jazeera reported early Wednesday, October 14, that the injured included two women, a man, and a child.
According to the report, Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defense Directorate said the missiles had been launched by Yemen’s Houthi group and were destroyed after being intercepted.
Earlier, the Saudi-led coalition had announced that it had intercepted and destroyed three Houthi cruise missiles targeting Riyadh.
Saudi air defense systems also reportedly shot down two drones in the country’s southern region.
Meanwhile, Saudi airports and oil facilities have faced repeated missile attacks by the Houthis in recent days.
