The Knicks largely kept the band together in the offseason, retaining every piece of Mike Brown's rotation but one: center Mitchell Robinson, who signed with the rival Celtics.
That means Robinson wasn't on hand for the Knicks' banner-raising ceremony ahead of their Tuesday opener against the 76ers, but Boston's early finish could've allowed the big man to watch the festivities.
Robinson, always true to himself, was blunt when asked why he didn't watch.

Why Mitchell Robinson didn't watch Knicks' ring ceremony
After previously revealing he didn't watch the Knicks' banner-raising ceremony, Robinson was asked by Amazon Prime Video's Cassidy Hubbarth ahead of Friday's reunion with the Knicks.
"I didn't have cable," Robinson said. "We just came back from Detroit and I don't have the channels on my phone."
Cassidy Hubbarth: "You mentioned how you didn't watch the (Knicks') ring ceremony and the banner-raising. Was that a deliberate choice?" Mitchell Robinson: "I didn't have cable." https://t.co/5lBFd820t8

Robinson, who wore a Bass Pro Shops sweatshirt on his way into TD Garden on Friday, is from the Florida panhandle and has always stayed true to his favorites like pickup trucks and country music. While he is active on social media, he might not be following the Knicks' every move months after leaving the franchise.
Robinson and the Celtics got the better of the Knicks on Friday, sending New York to 0-2 as the veteran center sets his sights on potentially winning a second title.
