Borussia Mönchengladbach had lost all six of their games in this Bundesliga campaign.
They shared the worst start in the competition's history with Fortuna Düsseldorf (1991/92), Mainz (2020/21) and Bochum (2022/23).
And on Friday (23), they avoided taking sole ownership of that unwanted record.
With a stunning backheel goal and a superb performance from 17-year-old wonderkid Wael Mohya.
They shrugged off the challenge of playing at the MHPArena to beat Stuttgart 3-2.
It was FAR from easy...
Demirovic put Stuttgart ahead after just five minutes.
With a helping hand from goalkeeper Moritz Nicolas.
The equalizer came in the 38th minute.
A move started by Wael Mohya and finished with a backheel by Scally.
Was it luck or skill?
Machino, assisted by Mohya, put them ahead in the second half (51').
And the 17-year-old attacking midfielder himself extended the lead from a Scally pass (66').

Demirovic scored another (83'), but could not prevent defeat in front of the home fans.
Despite their strong Champions League campaign (taking seven points from a possible nine), Stuttgart suffered their fifth Bundesliga defeat.
They have six points and currently sit 14th, and could drop three places.
Gladbach, meanwhile, picked up their first three points. But they remain bottom.
