LG Innotek said Tuesday that Jeffrey Cho, senior vice president and head of its Package Solution Business Unit, received the Silver Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit at the 21st Electronics and IT Day ceremony at Coex in Seoul.
The honor recognizes his contributions to manufacturing innovation, equipment localization and export growth. LG Innotek recorded nearly 80 trillion won ($56 billion) in cumulative exports from 2021 to 2025.
Since joining LG Innotek in 2004, Cho has held leadership roles across its camera module and semiconductor substrate businesses, including heading its Vietnam manufacturing subsidiary and Optics Solution Business Unit.
He spearheaded the adoption of artificial intelligence in camera module development and production, introducing automated quality inspections and improving manufacturing efficiency. LG Innotek's mobile camera module revenue grew more than 30-fold between 2010 and 2025.
Appointed head of the Package Solution Business Unit late 2025, Cho is now overseeing investments to more than double semiconductor substrate production capacity. He aims to generate 1 trillion won in annual operating profit from the division within five years.
Cho also promoted equipment localization, directing about 80 percent of optical equipment investment spending to Korean suppliers while supporting job creation through investments in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province.
"I am honored to receive this award on behalf of all LG Innotek employees who have worked to strengthen our technology and business competitiveness," Cho said, pledging to support the company's continued global growth.
