Starbucks $SBUX stores turn up in airport terminals, supermarkets, Target $TGT stores, hotels and college campuses as well as on small-town main streets, and the experience of buying a coffee at them varies widely. Google $GOOGL reviews show it. Across thousands of U.S. stores the average rating is 4.03 stars, but individual stores range from 1.74 at the bottom, in Newark Liberty's Terminal B, to 4.81 at the top, in Columbia, South Carolina.
The ranking comes from seobacklinks.com, a web SEO firm, which pulled Google Maps listings on October 7, 2026 for 11,580 open U.S. stores with at least 100 reviews, 5,693,882 reviews in all, and ranked them by exact average rating rather than Google's rounded score. The 10 best are concentrated in a few states, with Texas and South Carolina holding five of the spots, and several are in small towns such as Venus, Texas and Harrisonville, Missouri. Reviewers at the top stores keep praising the same things, friendly baristas, clean stores and drinks made right, while the lowest-rated stores, eight of the 10 of them in airports, draw complaints about long lines and drinks that come out wrong.

The store at 650 Lincoln Street is the best-rated Starbucks $SBUX in the country, averaging 4.81 stars from 343 Google $GOOGL reviews, nearly 0.8 above the 4.03 average. One reviewer in August 2026 praised a "great location, not too busy, and friendly baristas."
Oliver Weston, founder of seobacklinks.com, said the best-rated stores show how a visit should feel, with reviewers describing friendly baristas and drinks made right every time. South Carolina has two stores in the top 10.
Frisco, Texas

The store at 4343 Frisco Green Avenue ranks second at 4.76 stars from 316 reviews. A September 2026 reviewer called it "one of my favorite Starbucks $SBUX I've ever visited," describing the staff as nice and welcoming.
It is the first of three Texas stores in the top 10, more than any other state.

The store at 3931 Macaw Street ranks fourth at 4.72 stars from 241 reviews, the same rounded score as Logan, with the order set by the unrounded averages. An August 2026 reviewer described it as "very clean and extremely polite staff."
Venus, Texas

The store at 110 U.S. Highway 67 ranks fifth at 4.66 stars from 228 reviews, the second of Texas's three entries. Frisco, Venus and Tyler together give Texas more top-10 stores than any other state.

The store at 640 Northeast Fifth Street ranks 10th at 4.62 stars from 133 reviews. Florida also has two of the 10 lowest-rated stores, at Kennedy Space Center and Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers, so the state spans both ends of the ranking.
At the state level, Wyoming's stores rate lowest on average at 3.85, followed by New Jersey at 3.88 and Massachusetts at 3.89, among the 49 states with at least 10 stores in the ranking.
Ratings reflect Google $GOOGL reviews as of October 7, 2026 and change as reviews are added. Only stores with at least 100 reviews were included.
