The contract aims to help meet demand for reliable and dispatchable clean energy during evening and night peak periods.
ACME Solar, through its subsidiary ACME Greentech Twenty, has entered into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to deliver 300MW/1.2GW-hours (GWh) of assured peak power supply.
The agreement falls under the SECI’s FDRE-IX tranche and is set at a tariff of $0.063 (Rs6) per unit, with the supply scheduled to commence from 6 April 2028.

The contract aims to help meet demand for reliable and dispatchable clean energy during evening and night peak periods as India increases its reliance on renewable energy sources.
According to ACME Solar, the firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project will provide 4MW-hours (MWh) per megawatt of capacity each day for any four hours during non-solar hours, maintaining a minimum monthly availability of 90%.
The company will use a combination of solar generation and battery energy storage system (BESS) technologies to meet the supply requirements.
ACME Solar’s night-time connectivity infrastructure will also form part of the project.
Following the signing of this PPA, ACME Solar’s under-construction contracted portfolio is now 4.31GW out of a total under-construction capacity of 5.38GW.
The project, awarded by the SECI, has a tenure of 25 years from the scheduled commencement date.
The contract is domestic in nature and stipulates the use of an assured peak power model for the 300MW of capacity.
Earlier this month, ACME Solar brought online additional battery storage capacity totalling 107.36MW/437.49MWh across two projects in Rajasthan.
The commissioning was completed on 30 September, with both projects achieving commercial operation status as of 2 October.
The company reported commissioning of the first phase of BESS capacity for the FDRE project at Neemri village in Chittorgarh district, Rajasthan, connected to the Neemuch substation.
This facility is expected to reach its full capacity within the current financial year and has a 25-year PPA with a national renewable energy implementing agency.
Another phase at Kelan village, Bikaner district, saw an additional 53.63MW/214.52MWh connected to the Bikaner III substation, also under a 25-year agreement.
ACME Solar holds a contracted renewable portfolio of 8.37GW and an operational solar and storage capacity of approximately 3GW and 4.96GWh, respectively.
In August 2026, ACME Solar secured long-term financing totalling Rs15.71bn from the India Infrastructure Finance Company for the development of a 300MW assured peak power project in Rajasthan, India.
