When you’re already building your career, any decision to invest your most precious currency – time — in an Online MBA has to be razor-sharp. Every commitment must deliver an undeniable return on investment, with value that is both clear and immediate.
Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School offers just that kind of an Online MBA. The Flex Online MBA is structured around the demands of an executive’s schedule and allows you to put new ideas into practice as you progress through the degree. It only takes 16 months to complete instead of the usual 24 and comes with a fee that makes it one of the most affordable online MBA programmes in the nation.
Corey Emsoff, Class of 2025, describes the whole experience as outstanding. “The online MBA programme has challenged me to think more critically, lead more effectively, and apply what I’ve learned directly in my career,” he says.
And few MBA programmes can match the vast resources of Texas A&M University, one of the largest public universities in the US. Mays Business School itself holds AACSB accreditation (the global gold standard for business education), professors who are leaders in their fields, and the Aggie Network, an alumni group that opens many doors globally.

Keep learning while you keep working
The Flex Online MBA is designed to fit your working life. You can complete the 49-credit-hour programme in 16 months while continuing in your current role. Every eight weeks, you’ll take two online classes, with each class meeting live for 90 minutes in the evening. This gives you a regular opportunity to interact with your professors and classmates without having to step away from work.
“I loved the explanation and grace given with such a fast-paced learning environment, along with the workload,” a graduate says. “It varied throughout the weeks and was not consistently heavy but consistently engaging and informative.”
Much of this is due to how diverse the cohort is. Different experiences and perspectives allow each class to approach business challenges from new angles. One student shares that this broadened their understanding of project management and strengthened their ability to analyse and synthesise information. Another sums up the classroom experience simply: “I left each class with a deeper understanding of the material.”
Professors push the debates further. Speaking about Dr. Carol Binzer’s class, one student says it challenged them “to step outside of my comfort zone and critically assess different leadership styles and strategies,” which contributed to the student’s personal and professional growth.
These meaningful interactions do not appear out of nowhere. They begin in day one. During the two-and-a-half-day, in-person orientation, students and faculty meet in person and forge connections that last until graduation and beyond. Online students also become part of the 630,000-strong global Aggie Network and earn an Aggie Ring, which is not only a badge of honour but a symbol of everything a student has earned along the way.
Online or in person, the community aspect of Texas A&M University is indisputable. “Despite the online format, the programme fosters a powerful network of professionals who support, challenge, and inspire one another — turning classmates into lifelong colleagues,” says Myra Gonzalez, Flex Online MBA Director.

High-demand skills, high-demand you
The programme’s curriculum is industry-driven, focusing on the university’s unique Aggie leadership, high-performing teams, and storytelling. In just 16 months, you’ll master data-driven business decision making, data and technology literacy, leadership skills and executive presence, global mindset, and so much more.
Electives are mandatory, and here, that takes the form of completing a specialisation to earn an official certificate. Similar to a diploma, this designation will be printed on a student’s transcript. These are the available specialisations which result in a university certificate and transcript designation: AI in Business, Marketing, Business Intelligence and Analytics, Business Data Analytics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, and Supply Chain and Operations.
The rigour and excellence of Texas A&M University, plus the flexibility working professionals need – that’s what the Flex Online MBA is all about.
One Class of 2025 graduate described the programme as “an amazing experience.” “I truly loved every moment of the programme and learned a great deal from both the coursework and collaboration opportunities,” they say.
