Kilavuka shared a series of photos on Instagram documenting the special trip, which saw him and his wife fly out to accompany their daughter as she settled into her new life abroad. One image captured the family together on the flight, while another showed them posing proudly beside the University of Kent International College signage.
The University of Kent, located in Canterbury, is one of the United Kingdom's well-regarded research universities, known for attracting international students from across the globe.
Kilavuka's heartfelt message to his daughter
The former airline boss paired the photos with a deeply personal caption that struck an emotional chord. He described the moment as one filled with both sadness and immense pride, noting how quickly time had passed since his daughter was a little girl who depended on her parents for everything.
"And just like that, the little girl who once needed us for everything starts her journey. A little bit of sadness and a lot of pride, and perhaps a realization that time truly does move far too quickly," he wrote.
Kilavuka described his daughter as the final chapter in his parenthood journey, reflecting on the joy of watching her grow into the person he always hoped she would become.
"She was the final page in this chapter of parenthood. Such a joy to watch her grow and mature. There is something incredibly special about watching your children become the person you always hoped they would be," he added.
He signed off with a warm blessing, wishing her well as she embarks on this new adventure.
"Wishing my beautiful baby girl the very best as she begins this new chapter of her life in college, carrying with her the love of her family, the pride of her country, and her faith in God wherever she goes," Kilavuka wrote.
